Signage
Parking and Transportation Services uses signs to help our customers understand what permits are required in each lot or garage. Every lot is signed at the entrance, including a sign that designates the lot and a sign that covers the primary type of parking in the lot.
Please click on your status below to see the signage by the permits types you qualify for.
- The permit you are issued is based on your faculty or staff status.
- Faculty and staff are issued A permits, valid in all A, ZR, R and Z permit lots, marked with these signs:
- Faculty and staff in the Athletics Department are issued E permits, valid in all A, E, ZR, R and Z permit lots, marked with these signs:
- Housing and Dining Services staff are issued B permits, valid in all A, B, I, ZR, Q, R, S, T, U, W, X, XR and Z permit lots, marked with these signs:
- Authorized faculty and staff are issued J permits, valid in all A, B, I, ZR, Q, R, S, T, U, W, X, XR and Z permit lots and J service stalls, marked with these signs:
- Faculty and staff can also get the ZR permit, valid in the Moby Arena lot and the Research Boulevard lot, which are served by Around the Horn. Around the Horn is a free CSU shuttle that runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. More information about Around the Horn. These lots are marked with these signs:
- Faculty and staff have the option to purchase a permit to park remotely at the Research Boulevard lot, which is served by Around the Horn. Around the Horn is a free CSU shuttle that runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. More information about Around the Horn. Research Boulevard is marked with this sign:

- Faculty and staff have the option to purchase a permit to park remotely in the Moby Arena lot, which is served by Around the Horn. Around the Horn is a free CSU shuttle that runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. This lot also has A permit and pay-to-park parking areas that the Moby Arena specific permit is not valid in.
- Faculty and staff are issued A permits, valid in all A, ZR, R and Z permit lots, marked with these signs:
- Parking spaces are “first come, first serve”
- Parking near a specific building is not guaranteed. Availability can vary by time of day, time of year, and day of the week. In addition to the regular weekly pattern, special events on campus may impact parking in your area.
- Please reference the university map to view parking lots designated for your permit.
- The purchase of a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space on campus. Parking demand on campus is continuously in flux throughout the day and week, as students, faculty, staff and guests come and go.
- Construction projects on campus can often affect parking. For updates on getting around and parking on campus, check the university’s online interactive map.
- Do not park in B, I, Q, S, T, U, W or X marked parking. You will receive a citation for parking where your permit is not valid. Watch for signs at lot entrances and specially designated rows and stalls.

- Commuting students have the option to purchase a permit to park remotely at the Research Boulevard lot (lot 740), which is served by Around the Horn. - Students who live off campus and commute are issued Z permits, valid in all Z permit lots, marked with these signs:

- Residents of Allison, Parmelee, and Corbett Halls are issued Q permits, valid in all Q, X and XR permit lots, marked with these signs:
- Residents of Braiden and Newsom Halls are issued W permits, valid in all W, X and XR permit lots, marked with these signs:
- Residents of all other halls are issued X permits, valid in all X and XR permit lots, marked with these signs:
- Residents of all halls are eligible for the XR permit (availability is limited) valid in lot 215 on the west side of Ingersoll Hall and marked with this sign:
- Students living on the north side of campus (in Allison, Parmelee, Corbett, Laurel Village, Westfall, and Durward) are eligible for the remote parking I permits (availability is limited), valid in all I permit lots (640, 641, and 642) off of City Park Avenue at 1400 West Elizabeth and 1500 West Plum Streets, marked with this sign:

- Please be aware that residence hall parking is limited. Your parking permit does not guarantee you a parking location in any lot or in a desired location.
- Your permit is NOT valid in A, B, D, E, F, I, J, MB, S, T, U or Z marked parking. You will receive a citation for parking where your permit is not valid. Watch for signs at lot entrances and specially designated rows and stalls.
- Residents of Allison, Parmelee, and Corbett Halls are issued Q permits, valid in all Q, X and XR permit lots, marked with these signs:
- The permit you are issued is based on your apartment assignment.
- Residents of International House and University Village at 1500 W. Plum are issued I permits (valid in all I permit lots). Valid in lots marked with this sign:
- Residents of University Village at 1600 and 1700 W. Plum are issued S permits (valid in all S permit lots). Valid in lots marked with this sign:
- Residents of Aggie Village Family (South) are issued T permits (valid in all T permit lots). Valid in lots marked with this sign:
- Residents of Aggie Village (North) are issued U permits (valid in all U and T permit lots) or T permits (valid in T permit lots). Due to limited parking resources, residents must sign up for a wait list for either of these permits. Valid in lots they are marked with these signs:
- Residents of Aggie Village (North) and Aggie Village Family (South) have the option to purchase a permit to park remotely at the Research Boulevard lot, which is served by Around the Horn. Around the Horn is a free CSU shuttle that runs from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. U and T permits are also valid in this lot.
- Student residents of International House and University Village may also purchase a commuter permit to park on the rest of campus.
- Faculty and staff residents may also purchase their regular campus parking permit to park on the rest of campus.
- Residents of International House and University Village at 1500 W. Plum are issued I permits (valid in all I permit lots). Valid in lots marked with this sign:

- Please be aware that apartment parking is limited. Your parking permit does not guarantee you a parking location in any lot or in a desired location.
- Do not park in A, B, Q, W, X, or Z marked parking. You will receive a citation for parking where your permit is not valid. Watch for signs at lot entrances and specially designated rows and stalls.
