When parking in hourly or short-term spaces, have your license plate number ready to enter into our hourly pay machines or you can download and use Park Mobile to pay by mobile phone. You can pay by credit card, debit card, RamCash and or coins for the amount of time you wish to park. Your license plate number will serve as your permit, so make sure that it has been entered correctly.

Hourly short-term parking

  • All hourly lots can be viewed on our interactive campus map
  • First floors of Lake Street and South College Parking Garages
  • $2 per hour standard, $1.50 at Foothills Campus, and $1 at Moby lot 197
  • Payment accepted at the lot pay station or through the Park Mobile app.
  • Enforced 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Friday
  • Saturdays, Sundays and university-designated closed holidays are free
    • Payment Required 24/7 in both Parking Garages
  • No overnight parking in any hourly lots
    • Overnight parking available in garages as long as time is paid for

90 minute time-restricted lots

  • Lot 150/Zone 2005: 90 minute max
  • Lot 250/Zone 2015: 90 minute max
  • Lot 349/Zone 2001: 90 minute max
  • Lot 455/Zone 2002: 90 minute max

Daily permit options

CSU Parking and Transportation Services offers daily parking permit options for any visit to our three campuses.  Standard daily permits are available for access to commuter lots on our main campus and remote permits can be purchased for those who wish to take advantage of some cost savings and other transit options available.

  • $13 standard daily parking permit available for purchase online, through email, by phone at (970) 491-7041, or in-office at the Lake St. Garage
  • Physical, scratch-off, daily hangtags for personal use available in office for $13 each.
    • Hangtags for department use must be ordered through Kuali.  Contact your fiscal officer for assistance.
  • Provides access to all Z, ZR, and R parking lots, visible on this version of our interactive parking map
  • Remote-only options available at a discounted rate
    • $8 daily ‘Moby and Foothills’ permit valid in ZR and R parking
    • $6 daily ‘Remote’ permit valid in lot 740 and R parking at Pickett Equine Center
  • Available with A parking for faculty/staff
Resident Hall students are eligible to purchase daily permits based on their dorm assignment.  There are some flexible remote options that take advantage of on campus transit.
  • $13 res hall daily available
    • Allison and Parmelee res hall daily permit valid in all Q, X, XR, and R lots
    • Braiden and Newsom res hall daily permit valid in all W, X, XR, and R lots
    • Ingersoll, Edwards, Summit, Academic Village, Westfall, Durward, Laurel Village and Corbett res hall daily valid in all X, XR, and R lots
  • All $13 daily res hall permits are valid at Foothills Campus

    • $8 daily ‘Ingersoll Remote’ permit valid in XR lot 215, Foothills campus, and R parking

University apartment residents may purchase daily permits for visiting guests at $4.25 per day.

    • Aggie Village ‘U’ residents may only purchase guest daily permits for Aggie Village ‘T’ lots
